how much i could ask for blend right now!
a few bits from here and many from back in India, a perfect combo it would be!
rains, awesome khandala weather, fresh air, lots of space, its greeeeen!
right where i live...
wish it were the same back in India and thats where its value would have been recognised and appreciated to the fullest.
but what do i do about it here....
what would i have done back in India?
called up umpteen number of people, gathered outside, gone hiking up a hill, eaten hot fried Wadas ,just hanged aroung doing 'nothing' , probably on the boat club:) ,gone rowing, gone riding the trendy, not to talk of my poor bike repeatedly dying off (Madra remember our rain expediations), if not any of these, atleast have lazed about on the terrace with the telescope set for sky gazing because the electricity would obviously be gone by then!
I wish i could transport this piece of time and space back home, where its worth would be recognised, and yes also i wish i were what i was back then with time to spend over these little joys!
as an aside, well i did go out for a walk , dragged a friend along too, and though not the wada had coffee! Huh.... its America!
btw the rains here never are accompanied with the aroma of wet soil! quite a sad realisation...

Why is everyone so hell-bent on doing research. all blog comments are being flooded with 'research-oriented' comments. Give it a break. summer is on its way :-)

Completely agree with you! I also feel many times, but then so do many more, that if I could transpose and juxtapose pieces of life and existence here and in India, it would be GRAND! But that would be an ideal situation...it's so sad that life is not ideal!
I also truly miss the smell of the soil after the first rains. In fact I mentioned that fact in a seminar on smell that I gave a few weeks ago. These guys don't know the simple but sublime things which they miss!
Nice blog. Lihit raha! :)
