Sitcoms

Holidays holidays! Its the holiday season but no holidays for me this time around. Thats fine, I have had more than my fair share ;) But this season in general makes me reflect back on the few of the earlier ones. It has a tendency to make you reflect I guess, a lot of people around seem to be 'reflecting' too.

Anyway this post isn't about the past seasons, that one we'll reserve for the year end or new years. Its about how through these multiple years of reflection I have come to notice one major LCM. Its the sitcoms!

What would I have done without them! No really, I owe them big time.

TV in general does, but for me sitcoms specifically provide that escape required from my reality into the appealing, funny virtual world that sitcoms create. You start living through those virtual characters your dream lives at times. Richard Bach in Illusions says 'If you will practice being fictional for a while, you will understand that fictional characters are sometimes more real than people with bodies and heartbeats.' Well I can vouch that's true :)

So as this year, a very happening one, draws almost to an end, I would like to make a toast to Sitcoms! May there be many more hours of laughter you bring home!

Now to my list of sitcom rankings

1. The eternal and evergreen Friends

2. Scrubs

3. The Big Bang Theory

The current favorites keep changing around, right now its Rules of Engagement.

To end I will go to the start which happened with Small Wonder that drew me into the Sitcom world!
